Sadie is a young Patterdale girl aged between 5-7 months and she is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She is a playful girl, as all puppies should be, and will demand attention from her humans if they ignore her for too long! Out and about Sadie walks well on the lead. She will pull initially but then settles down. Her favourite occupation is slowing down so she can watch other dogs and people playing. She hasn’t got a very thick coat so her foster mum puts a coat on her when out to keep her warm.
As she is only a puppy Sadie hasn’t been left for long periods but will settle in her crate after a bit of a cry. When playing she has pulled the stuffing out of a couple of her dog toys but hasn’t shown any other destructive behaviour while in foster. That said, she will need further training and would benefit from attending puppy socialisation classes. Housetraining is ongoing so adopters will have to continue this when she moves to her new home. Sadie has met other dogs on her walks and also the resident dogs in her foster home. She loves to play with them and always tries to get everyone involved. She is getting far too boisterous with the cats so we feel it is safer to say no to cats!
Car travel and visits to the vets don’t faze Sadie and she is perfectly happy to sit in the dog crate in the car, loves to meet other people and be touched all over and has met visiting grandchildren aged five and six years old. Sadie is looking for an active home where any children in the house are over five years old and where her people are around for the majority of the day. She would do best in a home where any dogs are as high energy as she is as otherwise they may get fed up with her constant demands for play! Any cats need to be dog savvy and able to stand their ground with her. She needs a garden, frequent long walks and lots of love and attention.
Sadie is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet Sadie in her foster home in RCT, South Wales.
