Sally is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is between 4 and 5 years old. She is an ex-breeding girl and is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. Sally is initially a little cautious of people but generally a very friendly, sociable girl who enjoys human company. She hasn’t met any children yet and although loud young ones would scare her, we think she would be just fine with dog savvy over 8s. As Sally is an ex-breeder she would have had very little human interaction and would have been more used to canine company. Because of this we will only rehome Sally where there is a kind resident dog to show her the ropes. Sally has not been tested around cats. Sally’s housetraining is a work in progress, as she is just getting used to living in a home. She can be left for short periods of time without being crated and is fine. She will nibble anything dangly or loose threads, also has a tendency to pinch things that have been left out so does need to be watched.
Sally isn’t used to out and about yet and will need further work in this area. Working on a harness or lead will all be new to her and she may initially be very frightened of that and the loud noises i.e. traffic etc. Her new family need to be aware of this and any training/socialisation must be done at her speed. A quiet home with a lot of human and doggy company would be ideal for Sally. She would prefer her people to be around for most of the day and any children in the house should be dog savvy over 8s. Sally is spayed, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet Sally in her foster home in RCT, South Wales.
If you are interested in adopting Sally please read about our rehoming process and complete a Pre-Adoption form ( link here ) and one of our adoption coordinators will contact you for a chat.
