Salsa – 2 year old female Greyhound

Salsa is a 2 year old Greyhound girl. As you can see from the picture, Salsa wasn’t in good condition when she first arrived at Gap. She was extremely ill looked after with open pressure sores, fleas and full of worms. This has now been treated and she has started to heal. By Greyhound standards Salsa is tiny, she’s very petite and is probably only around 23 inches tall.

Don’t let her little sad face fool you! This girl is just totally full of the joys of spring and loves life. She is cheeky and like any teenager can be quite head strong if asked to do something but the long and short of it
is, you can’t help but laugh.

Salsa is currently in foster care with 2 Greyhound bitches and a Greyhound male plus a male cross-breed. It would seem that her soul aim in life is to drive them bonkers. Salsa loves to cuddle up next to the other dogs and if they show their displeasure by moving well, Salsa just moves along with them and settles back down with them again!

Although Salsa is just a baby she is quite a level dog. She is spotlessly clean in the house and is just as happy to play and amuse herself as to bother with the other dogs she shares her foster home with. She is fine to be left and settles down easily but is very curious in the house as to your whereabouts and what you might be getting up to. If given the chance she could get under your feet and become a little clingy.

Out on lead Salsa is fine, she walks beautifully but has had a couple of occasions where small dogs have been running around off lead and she has become excitable in a “want to go and play” fashion. Salsa is not cat friendly; her reaction to them thus far has been to back away and bark as opposed to run in and hurl after them, being so young and naive we don’t feel she understands what these alien beings are and that in itself is quite scary!.

Salsa although not a chewer of furniture, she is a bit of an opportunist; if books or cd cases are left lying around she will help herself to them. Consider it an added bonus with Sassy Salsa to your life is you will learn to clean up after yourself! Salsa has so much love to give and so much potential to flourish, she will be a wonderful fun addition to any home with a bit of time to spend with a young dog.

Salsa is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de-flead, de wormed and microchipped and spayed. Salsa is currently in foster in Derbyshire.
