Uncle Sam is a medium to large sized Cross-Breed who is coming up to two years old. Uncle Sam is fostered in Caister (FR036). Sam was one of a litter of twelve pups rescued from a public shelter in Romania. A rescuer friend was asked to pull them from the death camp and then left with them when the person who asked her quickly lost interest.
A shakey start in life has left all 12 of these dogs with a lack of trust in humans. He is the second of the litter that we have undertaken to help as we took his sister previously who is now very happily adopted and doing well.
Uncle Sam is doing well in his foster home. He is still weary of human approach but has shown he is capable of being loving and affectionate to people he gets to know well. Sam loves his walks and is very playful with the other dogs in his foster home, he is also living very happily with cats.
Uncle Sam needs a home with no young children and with adults that will enjoy the journey of improving his confidence in adults and watching him bloom.
