Sasha – 1 year old female Akita Cross

Sasha is a sweet natured female Akita that one cannot help but love. With her head cocked to one side and a slightly floppy left ear, she is a vision of cuteness. Friendly and affectionate, she adores nothing more than to be completely fussed over and patted. Playful and sociable, Sasha shows no sign of any food or toy aggression. While she is good with children, she can be boisterous and will need a family that is large breed experienced to give her ongoing training in a loving yet secure environment.

Sasha is good with the small dogs she has met although she has not been tested with either cats or large dogs. We would therefore recommend all initial interactions to be supervised. While Sasha is lead and house trained, we have been informed that she still has the occasional accident. With positive reinforcement, there is no reason why this should be an ongoing problem. She does tend to pull on the lead at the start although does calm down as the walk progresses.

Sasha is fairly active and is being given up because her current owners do not have the time to give her the attention she deserves. As such, we think she would suit a fairly active home.
As she has never been left alone, we would prefer a home where someone is home most of the time. Given Sasha’s effervescent nature, we think that Sasha can live with another dog pending successful introductions.
