Saski – 3 year old female Yorkshire Terrier

This beautiful little face belongs to Saski, an adorable little 3 year old Yorkshire Terrier girl who has found herself in our care due to her owner moving house. Please find below some information from her former owner:’Due to relocating to London and also working nights for a mental health organisation that requires I sleep over, I am no longer able to give her the life she deserves. Saski is an extremely happy little girl and enjoys long walks in the park, lost of petting and snuggling up on the sofa at the end of the day. Saski has an excitable nature, she is good around children 7 years and over, however, she does appear to prefer the company of adults.

Saski is the only dog within the household therefore her socialisation with other animals has been limited, so when out on her walks in the park she does appear to be slightly nervous around larger dogs. Saski’s diet primarily consists of bakers dried food with Asda’s Hero or Butchers mixer added to it. Saski enjoys the occasional doggy treat however you must avoid giving her to many and or over feeding her as she is prone to being sick. Saski enjoys being groomed, bathed, showered and she also likes being dried with a hair dryer, however, she does not like having her teeth cleaned, nails cut, or ears cleaned. Within the home environment Saski is a relatively quiet dog that does not make many demands so long as she has been walked for at least an hour per day. Saski is a happy and obedient dog.

Saski is now in foster care and we have found her to be a very sweet and friendly little dog who at the moment appears to be timid and a little insecure. We don’t think that she is used to being picked up as her whole body tenses when you lift her off the ground. She is very loving and exercises well off lead with other dogs but will not stray far. She does however like to greet everyone she meets on walks with a full body wiggle! She was very curious of the resident cat to begin with and would bark and chase her but is now beginning to ignore her so could possibly live with a cat in her new home. She likes to spend most of the day curled up on the sofa and loves company and affection. Saski is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.
