Sci – 15 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Sci has been in kennels nearly 3 years, she is over 15 years old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Sci (aka Super Cute Individual) has been in kennels for nearly three years, in the care of Social Services, we have known her all this time and have been helping to care for her and exercise her. She has been thoroughly spoilt but kennels in no place for a dog of this age. We absolutely adore this dog and have treated her as our own for all this time. She has now been signed over to us.

Sci is an old lady and we don’t know how long she has in this world, it could be weeks, months or even years. We want a permanent home where she can be loved, adored and cherished for the rest of her days. Sci is on a number of medications for arthritis and she has some other age related issues. She may or may not need regular trips to the vet.

This is the sort of home we are looking for: No other cats or dogs. We can talk more about other animals, someone in most of the day – e.g. retired person or couple, home with a garden. Access to garden with not too many steps, Sci won’t be able to do lots of steps. short walks only. No young children. Able to take her to the vet when needed. Able to give daily medication. Able to follow and implement our advice on caring for an elderly dog.

Please email if you are interested in finding out more about permanently fostering Sci.

***PERMANENT FOSTER HOME REQUIRED, PREFERABLY CLOSE ENOUGH TO OUR VETS IN CHINGFORD, E4 9BS FOR VISITS*** (Even if you are not close to Chingford, please still apply and we may be able to work something out). ALL BILLS PAID BY OUR CHARITY.

RSPCA Essex South West
The RSPCA Essex South West Branch is, like all RSPCA branches, an independent charitable trust. As such, it has to be financially self-supporting – in other words it has to raise the funds it needs to support its animal welfare activities. The Branch covers an area ranging from Dagenham & Barking in the South to Epping & Nazeing in the North, Waltham Abbey to the West and Abridge to the East. Although we do rehome our dogs to all other areas. The Branch is run and staffed entirely by volunteers. The main activity of the Branch is in rescuing and finding new homes for companion animals that for a variety of reasons are either homeless or cannot stay with their present owner. We work in partnership with Goddard's Chingford Kennels, who board and care for our rescue dogs. All dogs who are rehomed from us will have their initial course of vaccinations, worm and flea treatments, will be neutered, microchipped and come with 6 weeks free pet insurance in conjunction with the RSPCA and More Than insurance company. In the last eight years (to December 2012) the RSPCA ESSEX SOUTH WEST Branch has re-homed approximately 2200 cats and 1700 dogs. 220 dogs were re-homed in 2013.
