Scooby – 9 year old male English Pointer cross Labrador

Scooby is a male 9 year old English Pointer cross Labrador. He was original boarding at our kennels, but his family never came back to collect him. He is currently being fostered, and this is what his foster Mum has to say about him:

I can’t praise the lovely Scooby enough, he is a delight to have around,he is sooooo good and such a gentleman. He adores Andy and likes a little rough play with him. He will ‘chase’ a ball and play with it for a while. He is brilliant on the lead, doesn’t pull at all and totally ignores other dogs, he won’t run about even on a 30′ training lead, so to give him a good run and you let him off the lead, he runs around here there and everywhere BUT his recall isn’t too good though, he runs off quite a distance and takes his time coming back. He will live happily with another dog, he just doesn’t bother with them. First ever foster I have left with Kira overnight without putting them in a crate for his 1st night here.

He travels well in the car and doesn’t bark at other dogs, just sits in the back next to Kira and looks out. He will make an ideal dog for an older person as he is so gentle and walking on a lead is manna from heaven after 6½ stone of GSD pulling! You could easily walk through a town centre with him. He had a bath yesterday and just stood there, so now he looks gorgeous and smells all lovely.

Scooby could probably live with a cat, but we would test further if necessary. He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flead.
