This absolutely stunning Australian Shepherd Dog is Seal. He is a lovely friendly boy with people. He lives happily with female dogs, but apparently he can’t live with male dogs- we haven’t tested him extensively with males, though he has been fine with some I’ve introduced him too. He is 7 years old, and has been castrated. He came to us due to his owners illness. His previous owners had several males and just kept him separate. I don’t believe they were able to walk him much, if at all. His exercise was to drive him around in the car with them to compensate for having to keep him away from from the other dogs.
Hence, he is inclined to pull on the lead, other than that his general obedience seems good and clearly some work was put in bbore illness got in the way. He came in in a very matted state and told us he needed muzzling to be groomed – that has not been the case, he has been really good, in fact enjoys being groomed, though like most dogs who have not beeen taught how to stand still, he wriggles and squirms to ensure you brush his favourite spots the most, and certainly hasnt needed a muzzle.
He loves his walks and I find him very biddable. He is clean indoors and great traveler. As you can see from his expression Seal has a great sense of humour and loves to make you laugh.
