Shadow – 7 year old male Greyhound cross Lurcher

Shadow is a 7 year old male Greyhound cross Lurcher. Shadow needs a supportive family to offer time and tolerance to allow their dog to settle. Shadow needs commitment to exercise outside on a muzzle and support him in relaxing around other dog’s company. Shadow needs an enclosed secure garden in order for him to enjoy off lead exercise. Shadow needs to be an only pet. Shadow could live around children but providing strict exit management/front door drill.

Shadow owned since a puppy, his owner died and traveled into Rescue from Leicester. Shadow then came to us when a volunteer asked us if we could help. Shadow is neutered, chipped and vaccinated. Currently in boarding kennels near Godstone.

Shadow: Aptly named Shadow will be your shadow if allowed but then is also chilled in the home and like all Greyhounds happy to watch. Easy company. Shadow has chase/ prey drive so needs to be muzzled in public but very relaxed now around dogs which is different to how he arrived. Shadow has regained his confidence around dogs and his play instincts are there. Shadow travels well and is a back seat lounger as he is a sofa loafer.

Shadow is a 7 year old Greyhound lurcher with a grey brindle coat and arrived with half a tail. He has gained weight and his tummy has settled on a raw food diet. He has lost fur which is probably due to stress in long-term kenneling, our vet has investigated and found no underlying cause: Shadow is not bothered by this. Shadow has a huge fan club following wishing him that his family finds him soon!
