Shady – 8 year old male Lurcher
Shady is a beautiful 8 year old chunky lurcher boy who came to Greyhound Rescue West of England last year after his families circumstances changed.
Shady is going to be 9 this year which is unbelievable! His teeth are fantastic and he has a real puppyish look about him and he lopes along like a young dog!
Shady is cat friendly and lived in his first home with a cat, any new home will of course have to do sensible introductions to any cats in the household.
Shady had an unsettled time of late, but is really starting to blossom now, and will make a wonderful companion. He has learned to get on well with both large and small dogs. He would be happy as an only dog, or with the companionship of a calm, relaxed dog. Shady is still learning the rules of life, and needs experienced owners who are able to set firm boundaries whilst also backing this up with lots of positive reinforcement and affection so that he can be very clear about what is expected of him.
Shady is a work in progress. Whoever the lucky family is who takes Shady on must be fully commited to making this his last home.
Shady really is a super boy, he is far more contented after the lovely long walks he is getting – he snores so loud and loves his home comforts!
