Sheba – 5 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Sheba is a 5 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross and is currently on foster in Abergavenny, South Wales. She is an affectionate girl who seems to prefer women to men, she can be left happily up to half a day in the company of another dog.

She is good with children, but cannot be rehomed to a home with cats or small furries as she seem to have an unhealthy interest in Squirrels and rabbits! Basic training and house training are good and she walks well on the lead after her initial excitement. One long walk or 2 short walks a day will keep her happy as long as she has another dog to play with.

Here’s what Sheba’s foster family have to say…

We have been fostering Sheba for a fortnight and she is a lovely, good natured girl who loves affection. She plays well with our male staff who we adopted at christmas (failed foster carers). She responds well to commands and it was clear that we could let her off the lead within two days. She stays very close unless playing with our dog or others nearby.

We are yet to see how she responds to long periods of separation (2+ hours) but is improving with short periods as she is a little anxious at the moment. We haven’t been able to test her with cats yet. Last weekend we visited some family and Sheba was fine with nieces and nephews. She sleeps next to our dog and travels well in the car with him.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family.
