Sky – 3 year old male Akita

This is Sky and he is a 3 year old male Akita, looking for a new home after being found as a stray in Humberside. Described by our assessors as “happy and confident”, after being in a kennel for seven days, Sky was more than content to be out in the fresh air for a walk! Sky enjoyed being stroked, relaxing into a typical Akita lean; was fine with being brushed and even gave a bit of a wagg in return for some cuddles!

Not particularly food motivated, the kennel staff report that Sky has not shown any signs of food possession and is happy for his bowl to be handled. With a basic knowledge of commands and quite strong on the lead, Sky could do with some further training, however he demonstrated a willingness to learn.

As a stray without history, Sky has not as yet been tested with other animals, and will not be placed in a home with young children. Could Sky be the boy for you? Please get in touch with FOA.
