Sky – 2 year old male German Shepherd Dog cross Alaskan Malamute

Sky is a 2 year old male German Shepherd Dog cross Alaskan Malamute. This big bear of a dog is called Sky he came in through no fault of his own due to a marriage breakdown. When you meet Sky you cannot believe what a gentle boy he is and quite calm too – he loves everybody and is very gentle around the children too – he responses well to commands.

He is very sensitive dog and needs a special home as he hates being left on his own. I cannot say enough how lovely he is with people and affectionate and is going to make a lovely companion for someone but what is going to make homing hard is that he really seems to suffer from separation anxiety when left so a home where he is left for hours will be no good for this lovely soppy boy as we feel he will be destructive, we are going to take the time to crate train him so whoever takes him on will know he can be left without their house being destroyed and who knows in time when he feels secure again this will stop. We have also found out he is not great around other dogs so will have to go as an only dog which is a shame as this could have helped him…

I know this narrows his chances of being homed but hopefully someone will ready this and see what a real charming gentleman he is for such a young dog and with his size he will certainly make you feel safe although I feel this is where it stops as he may look the part but he will probably meet unwanted guests with a kiss…
