Smokey – 4 year old male Cross-Breed

Smokey is a charming 4 year old small male Cross-Breed who is simply adorable. This sweet chap is very cute boy who loves his food and treats. Smokey can become slightly nervous in some situations and sensitive to being picked-up, he then becomes a little shy. We are suggesting that he doesn’t live with young children and it will then depend on the children he lived with and what visiting children would be coming to the home. But all applications will be considered. He is in good health, but he has a slightly bent front leg, this currently doesn’t give us any concern, but it may result in some level of arthritis in his later years.

Smokey went to a home but he was recently returned, we will disclose full details to anyone that requests to visit him. He has now been fully assessed and he is now ready to start meeting new people again. Smokey really enjoys his walks, but he doesn’t like all the dogs that he meets when he is out, so we would suggest that he remains on a lead at all times, which he really doesn’t mind at all. He is also afraid of traffic.

We would look to place Smokey in a home where he can be left for a few hours, providing he has had a nice walk before you leave him on his own. Up to 4 hours would be fine and he would be okay for working families, as long as he has had a toilet break during the day.

This is our current assessment, the assessments are always on-going, and although we temperament test our dogs in many situations, we don’t know how they will be when they arrive in your home but we will provide home support. We would request that interested parties commit to 2 or 3 home support sessions post adoption.
