Snowy – 5 year old female Lurcher

Snowy is a 5 year old Lurcher girl who has been signed over for rehoming by her elderly due immobility and health issues; he feels it’s the best solution for his dog. Snowy is staying with one if his friends and her two dogs until we rehome her and is currently in foster care in Poynton, Cheshire. This is a very sad situation for both Snowy and her owner – he adores her.

Snowy is spayed, fully vaccinated, wormed, flead and microchipped. Snowy looks beautiful and has the temperament to match. She is good with dogs (cats are unknown), loves children (although boisterous children would be too much for her as she’s a gentle soul) and is such a placid, biddable dog.

As can be seen by the photos she loves the sofa, home comforts and company. She is housetrained, not possessive, really good in the car and great on the lead, however she must remain on the lead till she’s settled in the new home.

Snowy doesn’t like shouting or loud noises, she doesn’t cope well with stern voices, she is so adaptable and is the kind of dog that responds well to kindness.

As with most greyhound types she requires a special wide collar, soft furnishings like a large cushion or sofa (she loves her owner’s bed!), a good diet and of course a weather proof jacket. Contrary to popular belief these types of dogs are pretty lazy and do not require copious amounts of exercise, in fact she’s quite happy to laze around after a couple of good walks and a run! Her owner feels she would love the company of a canine friend.

So if you think you can give Snowy a loving home like the one she’s leaving then please get in touch.
