Sophie, approximately 14 months old, large sized Cross-Breed (possibly Caucasian cross). Sophie came into our care in November 2016 after she had traveled from Bosnia to the UK. Sophie was rescued from the streets of Bosnia as a puppy and spent the next few months in a shelter in Bosnia. Sophie is currently in foster and is coming on leaps and bounds. She is brilliant with children of all ages, fine with cats and is good with other dogs too (although in regards to other dogs, she can be a little bit grumpy with them at first but does soon settle down). Sophie can be wary of new people entering the home (adults) and can bark/Grumble. However, she does settle down after a few minutes and just wants to have cuddles and lots of fuss!
Sophie needs a home where her new owners have experience with dogs of her size (she is newfoundland sized) and who can continue to build her confidence around new people. Sophie is such a lovely girl and just needs her chance. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, flee’d & wormed up to date and has her pet passport.
Sophie is house trained, crate trained, is currently learning the basics and also learning that going out for walks isn’t actually that much of a scary thing. (She will now happily go out for short walks without other dogs, however this training will need to be continued. Once Sophie settles into a home she shows her true colours, which is a big, playful puppy. It can be quite funny to watch her bounding around due to her size!
