Speckley Hen – 1-3 year old female Cross-Breed

Here is rescue we have a beautiful little character called Speckles. A very kind natured girl who resembles a Border Collie, but is actually the size of a small Spaniel or Staffordshire Terrier. Speckles is great with the 10 dogs that she lives with, very good with the 4 resident cats. Adores children, although she’d benefit from a home that provided her with all the attention. A semi active girl who likes to play, run around in circles, and catch flies. However, this dear Hen suffered from Brain Trauma in Romania. This could have been caused by a road traffic accident, an abusive owner or something similar. She was found wondering in Romanian woods, covered in mange.

Speckles was taken into a safe sanctuary and treated. Now fully recovered, she has been spayed, fully vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, micro chipped, vaccinated against rabies and is looking for an understanding home. Speckles manages to get around well, in and out of buildings, up or down stairs or simply by running around with her canine companions. She was on medication to help with her motor skills when she first arrived, but no longer requires it. A Vet had suggested conducting an MRI scan if the new owners ever wanted to find out more detail about the kind of trauma. However although these scans are typically 1K + it wouldn’t cure the condition. It would just provide a little more information.

The Vet felt she could go on to a home, and live a happy enriched lifestyle. For further information, please feel free to get in touch.
