Spice – 2-3 year old female Jack Russell Terrier
Spice is a Jack Russell Terrier who is about 2 or 3 years old. Spice was found stray and passed through Battersea’s assessment. She had 2 brief homings and then began to gain kennel stress and we were asked to take her on. She has a wispy wire coat and is intermediate..not short-legged and not long legged.

She mixed with dogs in foster and outside but initially was ‘testing’ dogs out but built her confidence and was homed with a docile male cross breed. She has proved herself to be able to enjoy training and learnt to be around horses. Her housetraining needs attention as she can be fine and then suddenly she will lapse overnight. Can have a thing about not going in the garden some days. She has been living on a main road and traffic isn’t a key feature to her, though she can react a little at night when only head lights seen.
Spice is a beautiful dog who needs an owner who can accept her terrier ways and few misdemeanours and ensure she isn’t given too much scope to allow her working traits to come through i.e. running off lead and ‘seeing prey (yorkie)’ She didn’t bite and grab..but made a song and dance, but owners were too far away to be able to stop the behaviour which was getting out of control. We mention this so you can appreciate firstly that Spice hasn’t had an easy life and many of her ‘complex’ traits on the whole don’t affect her, but can surface periodically so need loving caution and routine. She has come so far and has made a few mistakes, but with supervision and further work she will leave more baggage behind her. Spice is a loving companion who enjoys her leaded walks without event and adorns slippers in the house with her little apron to match! Spice is spayed, vaccinated and chipped. Wormed and defleaed…& ready for her forever home!!! Currently kennelled in Whitehill Hants.
“Please note that this dog is currently in kennels and is also available for foster until a ‘forever’ home is found”.
