Star – 3-4 year old male Rottweiler
Star is a male Rottweiler aged 3-4 years old. He was a stray handed into us on a freezing cold winters evening painfully thin with half his coat falling out. Due to poor condition we can only guess at how long he had to fend for himself or had been kept outside and not fed or cared for? Star is a sensitive boy and can be timid around certain men but learns quickly that you will not harm him. He has obviously been beaten wherever he lived before and will cower on the floor if you raise your voice to him and so reacts a lot better to positive praise and will do absolutely anything for a treat.
He is a very loving boy when he trusts you and loves nothing more than a game of ball and lots of hugs! He has been very ill recently and because of this is still painfully thin but he is starting to slowly put weight on. He is fine with bitches although still needs neutering and would love to share his home with a girlfriend or two! He could though we think live as an only dog in a quiet home without very young children as we have no history on him and he can get very exited. He would not be happy living with another male although is happy to say hello and play with them out on his walks.
We would prefer him to be homed to people who either have Rottweiler or guarding breed experience not because he is vicious or aggressive because he isn’t in the slightest in fact he is quite the opposite it is just that he is still unsure in certain situations and needs reassurance and guidance.Star has come on leaps and bounds since he came to us but he has been in kennels long enough now and desperately deserves a home to call his own.
We would prefer Star to be homed within 100 miles of North Somerset but distance need not be an issue for the right home, Minimum donation required and all home offers subject to a home check.
