Storm – 8 year old male Lurcher

EVERYBODY at the kennels loves this cheeky happy go lucky little soul and he loves everyone at the kennels! Storm came to us after being owner surrendered into the local pound due to a house move. On arrival in our care Storm was very underweight and has the most horrendous mouthful of rotten teeth you can imagine. We are just waiting for the dental machine at our vets to be repaired so that we can get this and his castration sorted asap then he will be ready for rehoming.

Storm is fabulous with all the other dogs and has been great with older children he has met, however we have found out – and his old owner notified the pound – that he has a very strong dislike of cats. Out and about on walks he is a true gentleman but we do feel he would create a little if when walking he encountered cats and this is something that would need to be noted and any new family would need to be willing to work with him to correct this behaviour.

Storm is said to be housetrained by his old owner and judging by how clean he keeps his kennel we have no reason to doubt this. Obviously he may have a few accidents whilst settling. We feel he would happily live as an only dog if someone was around all the time to settle him in but have no doubts that he could equally live alongside other dogs because he has shown to be so fabulous with them. Storm also travels well and just settles down to sleep.

There is not much more we can say about Storm other than he is quite the gentleman, he is calm and loving and has very good manners BUT he does also have a cheeky playful side he unleashes every now and again and has us in fits of laughter with his tail wagging barking and playbowing antics. Storm is vaccinated, kennel cough vaccinated, treated for parasites and microchipped. He will be neutered and given a full dental as soon as the dental machine at the vets is fixed and will then be ready to leave for a new home.
