Suzie – 3 year old female Cross-Breed
Suzie is a 3 year old crossbreed, after being turned away from one dog rescue; she was booked into a local vets to be put to sleep. Thankfully the vet saved her. We believe that Suzie was abused in her first home, kept locked under the stairs, shouted at and hit when she misbehaved. Her second owners tired to help, but were very elderly and became scared of her and unable to cope.
Due to her troubled background Suzie is incredibly fearful and expresses this by growling. If pushed she would bite but has not done so in her foster home. She progresses each day and bonds well to people when she is given time to trust. Suzie seems to enjoy the company of other dogs and is currently living with another dog. She also lives with 3 cats, although she is never left alone with them as she can get over excited and chase (this is also improving with time).

Suzie needs an experienced home with someone who will allow her time to settle and adjust without pushing her. She needs a home with no children. Suzie enjoys walks but it is obvious she has had little training, she pulls on the lead and would therefore need an active home willing to put the time into walking and training her. When Suzie gets over excited or stressed she shadow chases. Deep down Suzie is a lovely dog who has been let down and now finds it hard to relax and trust. In a stable home environment Suzie will blossom. Please can someone offer Suzie her forever home??
Suzie is not on site. If you wish to meet her please phone the rescue on 0151 931 1604.
