Gemma - 4 year old female Rottweiler
Gemma is a female Rottweiler aged approximately 4 years old. She has just been spayed as she was coming down with Pyometra. She desperately needs to find a new home by Thursday 7th/Friday 8th August at 4pm, can you offer her a loving new home? She is a lovely looking black and tan typical Rottweiler.
She has obviously been mistreated in the past and so she requires a kind understanding home. She is looking for an experienced home as she is a little nervous with strange men when in a confined space, i.e. a kennel, and in the same situation although still scared with women, she will only back up and not react (bark). Outside she is fine, if a little timid.
She has been seen by a behaviourist who states that Gemma could be worked with and improved with experienced owners and we will expect her to be taken to a behaviourist by her new owners. As a stray we don’t have any history of her and how she would be with other dogs, but she seemed fine with her finders dog.
Can you offer Gemma the chance in life to live in a loving enviroment to bring the best out in this lovely girl?

Rocky is a 3 year old male German Shepherd cross Rottweiler who is a real sweetie and looking for a new home after his parents split up and the lady of the house did not have enough time for him and found him too much to exercise etc. She said he just kept bringing his toys into the house wanting someone to play.
He has not had the fun that he should have in his early years and desperately needs someone to love him and give him a lot of TLC and some serious training.
He is looking for an adult only household as he has never lived with children, he does not appear to be dog aggressive but careful introductions at the kennel first would be a must and he has not lived with cats so we cannot say how Rocky and a cat would get along! Please help Rocky asap as the kennel enviroment is not good for him and causes him a lot of stress making him poorly. Can you offer him a loving new home?

Bert is a 2 year old Bulldog, possibly Victorian Bulldog (without the breathing problems) who is looking for a new home to call his own. He is absolutely gorgeous the best dog in the kennels, loves to quietly sunbathe but! when he gets in a home his behaviour changes as in he trys to mount people and gets cross when told off.
Our trainer is on hand to show this behaviour to any prospective owners and show them how to deal with it. They should expect to visit our kennels in Kent a few times before being allowed to take him as it is extremely important for Bert that he does not keep bouncing back. He would be best suited in an adult only household as the only pet - he will make an amazing pet for the right people.

Tilly is a 3 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is looking for a new home. Tilly has been passed from pillar to post and in one home was not treated very well by a child luckily it does not seem to have affected her temprement but adult home would be best.
We cannot be sure of other dogs as she has been fine and then other times not, still you can’t like everyone, but would be best suited in a cat free home.

Amber likes to be brushed and stroked, loves human company, but in typical Akita fashion also appreciates her own space! Amber is a dominant girl, who will require an experienced owner, with time to dedicate to get to know her and maintain her training. Amber will not be placed in a home with other pets, children, or where children frequently visit.

Winston is a 3 year old male Jack Russell Terrier. From his photograph below, you can see he adores his foster dad, however he was in a real state. He suffers from seperation anxiety resulting in certain behavioural problems, but this is being worked on by his foster parents and he is improving.
His problems stem from seperation anxiety and when you go to leave he really gets stressed and will nip at your legs, not causing damage though, he doesn’t always growl when he does it. He is honestly extremely affectionate, but would be best suited to an adult only household with experienced Terrier owners who like a challenge! This lovely boy will make someone an ideal pet and a stable home will do him the world of good.
He has a lot of love to give and will cherish his new owner(s). He is getting on fine with his foster parents own German Shephrd, who put him in his place when meeting and has also met another dog, who he got on fine with. However, he hasn’t met cats and so we would prefer to rehome without cats.

Shari is a 1 1/2 year old female Labrador cross. She is initially very nervous in new situations; however once she has got to know and trust you she is very affectionate and loyal. She is also quite a strong minded dog and as a result will suit an experienced owner or she may try and take over once she has settled in the home.
She gets on with other dogs but she does like to be the centre of attention and may be best suited as the only dog. She has had some basic training and she likes to play ball. She’ll suit an experienced owner and an adult only home. She will need further socialising to increase her confidence.

Rudy is a 4 year old male Labrador cross German Shepherd who came in extremely overweight and hyperactive due to lack of exercise. He has since spent a lot of time with our trainer to reduce his weight and work on his manners as he was not really socialised before.
He is quite arrogant and thinks he’ll do what he wants when he wants, so he needs a firm but kind owner with no children, not sure about other dogs or cats. Look at him though, he’s lovely.
