Bobby - 3-4 year old male Border Collie Cross

Bobby is a lovely male Border Collie cross, probably 3-4 years old. He needs to be an only pet - he is not aggressive with other dogs and cats but becomes fixated with them. Bobby loves his ball and his long walks in the woods or on the beach - he is not frightened of water.

He is extremely intelligent and very quick to learn. We feel he could be an excellent agility / flyball dog with an experienced Collie owner. Bobby has shown no aggression apart from the fact that he tends to growl and show his teeth when being dried and sometimes when being stroked on his back and for this reason we are looking for a home without children.  Bobby has never bitten.

He is fully house-trained and loves travelling in the car. As an only pet Bobby will make someone a very devoted and loving friend for life.

Jacko - 4 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Hello everyone, my name is Jacko and I am a 4 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross male.  I am very obedient and know lots of commands such as “sit” and “speak”.  I am rather intelligent and will come to you when you call me providing there is a tasty treat near by.  I am extremely handsome and as you can see from my photo I’m a bit of a poser.  My favourite features are my sticky up ears, the white blaze down my face and my extremely curly tail.

I am sociable with both people and dogs (as long as other dogs don’t pick on me) and love to play games and go for walks.  I have lots of energy and as I am clever would benefit from activities such as agility and flyball if you are looking for a dog to fun stuff with.  I adore attention and love interacting with people, especially when they offer me a treat!  Anyone trying to win me over can wave a boneo in front of my face and I’m their friend for life!

I have not had any security in my life and my past owners never really cared about me, I am desperate to show someone how deserving I am of being loved and what a FANTASTIC pet I would be if you decide to adopt me.  You could even take me on foster to see if I am the dog you have been dreaming of.  I’m such a good boy, please give me one chance.  I’ll be ready and waiting…  All my love and sloppy kisses, Jacko x

Suzie - 2-4 year old female Cross-Breed

Suzie is a female cross-breed aged between 2-4 years old, she was an RSPCA rescue case coming from a home where she was abused, consequently this has made her a very nervous and insecure dog but one with a lot of love to give. Suzie was an RSPCA rescue case coming from a home where she was abused, consequently this has made her a very nervous and insecure dog but one with a lot of love to give.

Suzie has been in kennels for 6 months and was re-homed for 4 days but due to nerves in stressful situations she showed fear aggression. Suzie is now being cared for in a foster home with a dog trainer where she has shown no signs of aggression towards people. Suzie is being clicker trained and is being introduced to a variety of people, environments and new situations including dog training classes.

Suzie is crate trained and settles well at night, and already has some basic training such as sit, come, bed, and loose - lead walking and of course dinner! The dog trainer also runs a Flyball team and Suzie is being trained in Flyball and has competed in a few competitions already. Suzie has become a team dog mixing happily with other dogs and handlers and is regularly handled by different people including children and is much loved by all.

Suzie is a lovely dog who has a lot of love to give the right owner, she is intelligent and would be a great companion whether it’s curling up on the sofa or going for a long walk. The right owner would be someone with patience and understanding who would be willing to take things at her pace and gradually introduce her to a new home. The foster home she is currently in has 2 other dogs, although she has got on well the majority of times there has been occasional incidences over jealousy regarding one of the other dogs affection for their owner. The home also has 2 rabbits and a cat and she has displayed little interest in them and often curls up on the bed with the cat.

The ideal home would be in a house without any other dogs however, socialising her with another dog is a distinct possibility just dependent on the other dogs personality. Also preferably in a home with no young children although older children from about 9 would be fine as long as they are respectful to her insecurities and boundaries. There have been no problems with her out on walks or in classes meeting and playing with other dogs and she is a joyful dog who will make someone a lovely companion.

Free training would be available to help with settling her in to a new home and it would be lovely if she could carry on with Flyball as she thoroughly enjoys it.

Noble - 2 year old male Rottweiler Cross

Hello everyone, my name is Noble and I am a 2 year old male Rottweiler cross. As my name suggests, I am a noble fellow, very calm and composed. I am highly intelligent and have a splendid learning capacity. I am not the giddy sort and when allowed to run freely off lead I focus solely on you and prefer to be by your side. I am very loyal and faithful and respond quickly to commands (it also helps that I like my treats and biscuits!).

I am the sort of dog that would be perfect for an active family or an owner seeking adventure and companionship. I would be ideal for someone who is looking to do activities such as flyball and agility as I love to learn new things. I am very loving and affectionate and desperate to demonstrate this to anyone who is willing to give me 5 minutes of there time. I really will be a FANTASTIC addition to any household. Please give me a chance, I wont let you down. All my love and sloppy kisses, Noble x

Tyke - 2-3 year old male Collie Cross

Tyke is a little Collie cross male aged between 2-3 years old who has been with us some time now. He would really love an active home. He came to us because his owner had health problems and the kindly elderly next door neighbour did what she could but Tyke is such a young lad he needs stimulation.

He did get rehomed shortly after he came to us but was back within the month because he kept escaping, so will need a very secure garden. He looks so depressed and would really love to be in his new home. Tyke will possibly be great doing flyball etc being a Collie he needs to have some sort of a job to do. He is fine with the other dogs in the kennel but has not been tested with cats. He has come from a “town” home.
