Taja is a kelpie who has been with us some time. She needs a home where there are clear boundaries and she is made to stay within them – if you give an inch she will take a mile and then become confused. She has a very strong herding instinct so cannot be let off lead anywhere there is a possibility of livestock. She has been on a home trial where the resident dog is very timid, and she forced him into a corner and would not let him out. If she is not the only dog the resident dog needs to be confident to stand up to her and work with the owner to establish boundaries. Older, dog savvy children for the same reason. Taja is not for a first time dog owner, but if you can keep her occupied mentally as well as physically she will be a great pet.
