Tarla – 3 year old female German Shepherd Dog

I would like to introduce Taral to you she is just 3 years old female German Shepherd and desperately looking for her forever home. Tarla’s current owner is now in a wheelchair and struggling with Tarla as she chases cars, reacts to dogs and just getting a little bit too much for her. We have been asked if we can help to rehome Tarla into a new loving and suitable home which she can thrive to be the dog she is very capable of being. Tarla has just turned 3 years old in Feb, she is microchipped and hopefully will have her boosters shortly as it is due the end of the month. Tarla is not neutered so we would ask the new owner to have this done *help for neutering is available from Dogs Trust, and many vets are running neutering campaigns too for just £35.

Tarla would suit a cat and dog free home, she does react to cats and chases them, so we would not want to put any cat at risk. With regards to dogs, Tarla is very vocal when she sees dogs, and this puts other dog owners off allowing tarla to get close enough to them to play. we would suggest a dog free home, and then socialising Tarla with other dogs on local dog walks etc and letting her get used to dogs being around her. Tarla has been around children which are 7 years onwards, so we would be happy to rehome Tarla if the children are large dog savvy and respectable towards dogs, we would not rehome if there are younger children in the home or visiting the home. Tarla is a bit of a barker when she first meets people, but once you enter the home she soon settles down, smoothing you in kisses and loves having cuddles. She does jump up a little in the beginning so this will also need to be worked on. She is protective over her current owner but as many of you know this is a typical shepherd trait being protective of the owner.

We ask you to visit our website and read her full listing, if you can offer her the home which she needs also with the training which must be started asap, we invite you to complete the online adoption application form which is under the ADOPT A DOG section.

Adoption fee £200 – homecheck will be carried out on all suitable applicants. Please do not apply to us for this dog of you have young children, a house full of cats and dogs and are not experienced enough to provide the training she needs. Please do not fall in love with a photo of a dog and ignore the vital points as you are then putting this dog at risk long term.
