Teddy – 3-4 year old male Mastiff Cross

Teddy is a Mastiff cross aged approximately 3-4 years old he came to us from a pound in wales as a stray he served his time and was due to be put to sleep. When Teddy arrived he was in an awful state he was covered in bite wounds which were all infected and his head was very swollen and sore, we took him straight to the vets where his wounds were cleaned and stitched and he was put on very strong anti biotics and cream. The vets think he may have been used as a bait dog for dog fighters as his wounds were so bad its something we will never know the truth of it.

Despite his obvious abuse Teddy is a very affectionate boy and absolutely loves everybody he meets! His wounds are now healed and he is steadily gaining weight . He has been in rescue a long time now and we are desperate to see him settled in a new home, he is good with kids but they will need to be older as he is very big and a little clumsy.

He will need to go as an only dog we think as he isn’t keen on small dogs and is wary and a little scared of big dogs (understandably) although he may be okay with a steady female but isn’t keen at all on cats! He is good off lead he seems to be house trained and travels well in the car.
