Thanos – 2 year old male Collie cross German Shepherd Dog

Thanos is a male mixed breed dog of about 2 years old. He is medium sized, weighing around 18 kilos. He is healthy and fully vaccinated. Poor Thanos has lived at the shelter in Greece since he was just a young puppy of about 10 weeks. He lived in a cage with his brother Panos and two more adult dogs, a male and female, and he gets along with all dogs. He has so much energy, yet this poor boy is lucky if he is walked once a week.

The brothers were tied to a tree and abandoned. Their luck changed when they were found and taken to the Filozoikos rescue shelter. Panos, the more confident of the two, has found a home in the UK and is currently living a life consisting of good food, exercise, freedom and, above all, the love of a devoted owner. His mum says: “He already has a few doggie friends with Oscar being his favourite – he cries when they part. He …… will soon be ready to start training. Haven’t needed to train him much as he is so well behaved.”

Thanos is very much like his brother, and we would love to see him settled in a loving home where he can grow in confidence. He will settle well in most home environments, and is good with children and other dogs. Thanos has now received his Pet Passport, is micro-chipped and castrated. In order to give him the best chance of a happy life the rescue have raised funds to pay the cost of transporting Thanos to the UK in December. If he has no home offer then he will be fostered with one of our volunteers in the South East. It would be so much better for this handsome and playful boy to go straight to a loving family who will take care of him and love him forever as an equal member of their family.
