Thor – 3 year old male Akita

Let us introduce you to Thor our beautiful brindle boy of 3 years of age. Thor came to us in a pretty awful state, he was terribly underweight, you could see every rib and his spine and his coat was dull and brittle. We are happy to say after a little time in our care he is gaining weight nicely and with a good diet his coat is now shiny. All he needs now is a home of his very own with a family who will adore him and not let him down.

Thor is a darling, he loves to be around people and adores to share a cuddle. He has a comical personality and is happy to roll around on the ground with his legs in the air so you can tickle his tummy. Thor goes on walks with the female Akitas from the kennels and doesn’t pay too much attention, we are currently testing him further for potential to live with a female companion. As he is a stray with no history he cannot be placed into a home with children under 12 years of age. Thor is not cat tested.

Although he is a way from his potential full weight Thor is still a very strong boy and whilst he is undergoing lead training a head collar may be beneficial. Thor has shown no signs of toy or food possession and is very gentle mouthed when taking treats, he’s happy to show off his sit, give paw and lie down in exchange for something tasty.

If this lovable clown with a heart of gold is the one for you, please get in touch! Thor is currently in Nottinghamshire.
