Tia – 4 year old female Bull Mastiff

Hello, my name is Tia and I’m a 4 year old female, Bullmastiff. I arrived at The Mayhew because my owner felt she no longer had the time to care for me properly.

When I first arrived I was a little shy and withdrawn but it didn’t take long for me to come out of my shell. I’ve now made lots of friends at The Mayhew and I enjoy spending time in the adoption officer’s office during the day, where I get to meet lots of different people. I’m usually too lazy to get out of my bed to greet strangers but for people I’ve met before I always make the effort to get up and greet them politely. I am a calm, quiet and gentle girl and I’m also eager to please. I have been well trained and I know all the usual commands.

I’m looking for a new home with someone who has a lot of love to offer me. I’m very affectionate and love spending time with people. I would be suitable for a first time owner who is looking for a large breed dog providing you are fully prepared for the hard work and commitment involved in caring for a dog and you will need to have researched my breed type. I would also suit someone who worked fulltime providing I’m not left alone for longer than four hours without a break e.g. by hiring a dog walker, pet sitter, or by coming home at lunch time etc. I would be happy to live children of any age, other dogs and cats. I won’t ask for much just plenty of love and an hour’s off lead exercise daily in a park or open space. My new guardians will be taking on a ten year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.

I hope to see you soon, Tia
