Tilly and Henry - 13 year old male and female Toy Poodles

Tilly and Henry are a lovable 13 year old twosome Toy Poodles, who came to the Mayhew after one of their owners sadly died, leaving the other unable to cope on her own. They are two well-behaved, toilet-trained and easy-to-care-for dogs who get along well with other dogs and can be left alone for up to four or five hours without any problems.

They are good with children and could be homed with children 16 years or older. Both enjoy pottering around in the park off lead for an hour each day. They are very affectionate and love sitting on your lap and enjoying all the comforts of home. Most of all, they adore each other and could not possibly be separated. Their curly coats will need regular clipping.

Tilly and Henry both have medical problems and are, therefore, looking for a permanent foster home. This means that though an adoption fee will need to be paid, they can always be brought to the Mayhew for free treatment for any problems relating to their existing conditions.

Both of them have cataracts in both eyes and have suffered early liver failure which requires a prescription diet and regular blood tests. Tilly had mammary tumours when she came to the home and, though she has the all-clear at the moment, there is a possibility of this condition spreading to her lungs. Henry has a polyp on his anal gland that could flare up from time to time.

Tilly and Henry are looking for a home where they can be together and enjoy life’s comforts while spreading their love around.
