Tina is a 4 year old female Cross-Breed. Tina was rescued in Cyprus and has flown to the UK hoping to find her very own family and forever home. Tina is a medium size girl weighing around 19kg. She is currently living in Islington, London. Here is a little bit about her from her current mum. “Tina is an amazing girl who just loves cuddles and snuggles with her humans. She is a hugely characterful, clumsy, slightly un-lady-like lady who often does a funny little burp after she’s had her biscuits! She is growing in confidence every day and is coming out of her shell. She will soon be a wonderfully self assured girl.
When she came to us she couldn’t climb the stairs – now she bounds up and down them at leisure. She is food and affection orientated, which means she is a quick learner as the loves to get a good treat and a cuddle. She now responds to her name – Tina! – and her recall is good in the house. She walks well on the lead. She has clearly had a very hard life before she got here for example, she was very scared when we picked up a big stick to play with in the park – we imagine that she must have been hit with something similar in her old life. Poor girl. One thing Tina doesn’t like… is the rain! So you will be a very lucky owner as she doesn’t want to go for walks in the rain.
We have been crate training her and she’s taking to it well. She does initially get stressed when she’s left on her own, but we are working on this with her and she is improving. She is happy to sleep through the night in the crate in the corner of our bedroom. I think she’d really love to sleep in bed with us though! She goes to the toilet outside now and it helps her to let her out regularly. We absolutely adore her and would LOVE to keep Tina – but unfortuately Tina is very wary of our rescue dog Norm and lashes out at him. Norm is an anxious dog and this has made him very stressed. He also has epilepsy which is triggered by stress so we really can’t keep them together.
Tina may be happy to share her new home with another confident dog or equally happy as an only dog getting all her human’s attention. All she wants is to give you love and be loved back. She’s a truly brilliant dog and will bring you so much happiness and satisfaction. She deserves the very best that England has to offer after a very hard start in life. She is a BRILLIANT BRILLIANT dog for the right home. Xxx”
Tina has not been cat tested so we are not sure how she may react to one.
