Tiny - 2 year old male Rottweiler

Tiny (ref 90d) is a very chummy and handsome male Rottweiler. He was brought to Derby RSPCA Centre because unfortunately he was neglected by his last owner. He is a young adult, probably about 2 years of age. He absolutely adores being stroked, talked to and made a huge fuss of. He is a very sociable dog who loves to play both with people and with toys, but also he just enjoys being around people and being part of what’s going on.

Like all Rottweilers, Tiny is very intelligent and trainable. He already knows at least 3 commands and would undoubtedly be able to learn plenty more. Obviously he is a big strong dog, so he will need owners who can give him lots of exercise and take him for frequent walks. He will also need plenty of opportunity to use his brain, because Rottweilers like to be up and doing things which they find interesting and absorbing.

A bored and neglected Rottweiler with nothing to do is always an unhappy Rottweiler. Tiny would be suitable for an adult household where any young people were aged 18+ as well as being sensible and kind. His new owners would need to have previous experience of owning large breeds of dog and also be able to spare plenty of time for training, walks and outdoor fun.

Tiny would need to be the only pet in the household, since he would be certain to chase cats and rabbits etc. and he doesn’t like the company of other dogs.

If you can offer him the quiet, calm, grown-up home he needs, where everyone will be kind and loving to him and treat him with all the care and respect he deserves, then big friendly Tiny will definitely be your big best friend.
