TJ – 4 year old male Miniature Pinscher

TJ is a super tiny Miniature Pinscher who is 4-years old and being fostered in Stone, Staffordshire. He is a lovely lad who is proving to be a great character. He certainly has his likes and dislikes and will have you laughing with his ‘begging’ for food party trick! He knows basic commands and will ‘sit’ and ‘wait’. He enjoys a lap and will ‘beg’ when people are eating. TJ would prefer a quieter household and will not be rehomed with children as they can be too much for him. He enjoys the company of other dogs but doesn’t have the patience to deal with younger, playful ones or those wanting confrontation. He doesn’t like the vacuum cleaner very much either and finds it noisy.

He sleeps soundly at night, on his fosterer’s bed, and also enjoys watching dog programmes on the television! He likes to be left alone while eating his food and will grumble if approached by other dogs. TJ hasn’t been crated since being in his foster home as there has been no need. He has been left at home in the company of other dogs for about 4 hours, 3 days a week and has been fine but very pleased to see you on your return! As far as car travel goes, he will whine and sing for a short period until he has settled. He is happy at the vets but doesn’t appreciate it when people get too close and ‘in his face’.

Adopters need to remember that TJ is a small dog. He will alert his humans when there are people outside the house and does have a touch of ‘small dog syndrome’ so would do best in a home with experience of this! He certainly isn’t a handbag dog and will rule the roost given the chance.

In summary, TJ would do best in a home where his humans are around for at least part of the day. He would not be suitable for full time workers. He will happily live with a laid back dog, but has not been cat tested. We will not rehome him where there are any visiting children as he isn’t keen, but adults are just fine!

TJ is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatments. Prospective adopters will be expected to visit TJ in his foster home in Stone, Staffordshire.

If you are interested in adopting TJ please read about our rehoming process and complete a Pre-Adoption form ( link here ) and one of our adoption coordinators will contact you for a chat.
