Sadie and Trigger, 10 years old and 9 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier girl and boy. Trigger and Sadie’s family are heartbroken at having to give them up for adoption. They are much loved and well cared for family members. A very sad situation has occurred in the family, where a young family member has a terminal illness, resulting in these two wonderful dogs not being given the time they need and deserve. Their ‘grandmother’ is currently looking after 5 children aged between 9 months and 16 years, and loves the dogs dearly, but realises they need more time dedicated to them.
Trigger and Sadie are the most delightful and loving dogs, within minutes of meeting us Trigger was on his back asking for his belly to be rubbed. They are very people orientated, love human company and are eager to please. Trigger and Sadie have been brought up in a busy household, with babies, young children, teenagers and previously cats. They are very well behaved and have perfect manners. Toddlers can wander around with food in their hands and the dogs don’t bother.
There are no food issues with these two, although Trigger is definitely a ‘foodie’, while Sadie can be a bit fussier about what she eats. Trigger is currently on a diet, because of lack of exercise, due to the family situation. They walk to heel off lead along the road. However, we do not advocate this. Once in the park they romp around like puppies, with Sadie initiating games. Their recall is very good. They meet other dogs appropriately and despite their age have a huge zest for life. When asked for a high 5 Sadie will leap off all 4 paws to pat your hand, and is very pleased with herself afterwards. They travel well in the car and can be left for hours, without concern.
We are looking for someone or a family who will love and care for these two adorable dogs, and who understand the background and will allow them time to settle in and become firm members of their new family. Trigger and Sadie will need a home with garden access and require regular exercise and lots of love and attention. They are not related, but are both a dark chocolate colour, with Sadie having a front white ‘sock’. Trigger is a more robust build, while Sadie is a dinky little girl. Both are neutered, microchipped, flea and worm treated and up to date with their vaccinations. They have been fully assessed by Guardian Angels Animal Support and will remain with their family until a new home can be found for them.
If you can offer Sadie and Trigger their dream home, please complete and return the homing questionnaire found on our website. Please note a home check and donation applies. Thank you.
