Hello, my name is Tye, I’m a 2 year old male Thai Ridgeback cross-breed. I arrived at The Mayhew due to my owner’s ill health. I’m an active, playful and fun-loving dog.
I always enjoy a good game of fetch and my favourite toys are tennis balls. I’m an affectionate chap who likes to snuggle up close for love and attention so sofa cuddles are a favourite pastime. I’m toilet trained, responsive to commands, I aim to please and I build very strong bonds. I also cope being left home alone for a couple of hours.
I travel well in the car and have a very good recall off-lead in the park, if I do say so myself.
I’m now looking for a forever home with a person or family who’ve owned dogs before and have researched my breed type.
I can live with sensible teenagers and I’ll need to be the only pet in the home. I can sometimes be bossy with other dogs, for this reason I would prefer to live in a rural, semi-rural or low dog populated area.
I’ll need a minimum of one hour of controlled and active off-lead exercise every day and my new owner will be expected to take me to training classes. You’ll need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long term commitment involved in owning a dog, you’ll be taking on an fourteen year commitment which must not be taken lightly.
Hope to see you soon, Tye
