Tye – 3 year old male Bull Mastiff cross Rottweiler

Tye is a 3 year old Bull Mastiff cross Rottweiler. He was brought to The Mayhew because his previous owner has no longer time for him. Tye is good with other dogs but to be assessed with cats. He can live with young and older children. He is also house-trained and can be left for a few hours.

Tye would be suitable to live with a first time dog owner who is looking for a large dog and is fully prepared for the hard work and long term commitment involved in caring for a dog. His further training will be dependent on his new guardian’s experience. He also needs a minimum of one hour of off lead exercise everyday in a park or open space.

Hello my name is Tye

I’m a three year old male, Bullmastiff and Rottweiler Crossbreed. I arrived at The Mayhew because my previous owners felt they no longer had the time to look after me properly.

I am an affectionate and well-behaved dog. I know all the usual commands which I respond well to. I am house trained and I can be left on my own for three to four hours without any problems. I’m a very friendly boy and I get on well with children of all ages. I can sometimes be aloof with strangers but if you take the time to get to know me you’ll quickly discover my affectionate side. I also get on well with other dogs. My two favourite things in life are going for walks in the park and food –with a treat in your hand you’ll be able to convince me to do almost anything.

I am now looking for a new home with someone who will provide me with a minimum of one hour of off lead exercise every day. I would be happy to live with first time dog owners who are looking for a large breed of dog providing they are fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved. I would also suit someone who works part-time. I can live with another dog providing we are the right match and I could live with a dog-confident cat who is used to being around dogs. I can also live with young children. As gorgeous as I am please remember if you’re interested in offering me a home you’ll be taking on a twelve year commitment, which must not be taken lightly. You’ll also have to put up with my slobber!

I hope to see you soon,
Tye
