Venus is a female Lurcher, she is a sweet girl and loves her walks. Venus is good on the lead and wasn`t overly fussed by mud in the woods, she does not mind getting her feet wet. As a typical Lurcher Venus loves to be out an about in the woods exploring and chasing flies, Venus gets along with her kennel mates and enjoys fuss, mind you – nothing is better than a good snack to munch on – Venus confirmed that sausages are the best! Stunning girl who will suit many homes.
Volunteer update: Having got to know Venus over several walks with Benji (her kennel mate), including an afternoon trip out to the pub, she is definitely one of the easiest dogs to get on with that we’ve walked. She is nice on the lead, but confident and friendly with everyone we’ve met, and although she still needs to learn basic commands I’m sure she will respond well to someone willing to spend time with her. One of her big plus points is that she gets on well with most other dogs – Benji can be quite demanding as a kennel-mate but she seems to have a knack of standing up to him without winding him up, so I’d be very surprised If she didn’t fit in with another dog. She was also well behaved at the pub, typical Lurcher polite scrounging but nothing intrusive, and was happy to chill out in the sun. Once home and allowed off the lead she was another dog who was a joy to watch doing power laps round the garden and playing with Vaggy (now re-homed) who was also with us. Venus is a lovely, friendly dog, easy to get along with and who just needs to be taught some basic commands to make a great companion.
