Viktoria is a Collie cross who we believe to be three to four years old (her passport claims her to be one but we feel this is unrealistic). Viktoria is fostered in Norwich (FR011). We were asked to take Viktoria as an emergency case from the Radauti public shelter in Romania. Ioana noticed that on arrival in the shelter she was getting badly picked on by the other dogs.
To avoid her being seriously injured or killed she’d taken her out of the crowded pen and placed her alone in the only space available to her. It was a kind of dark and dingy storage space which would not house her healthily for long. After preparation Viktoria was hastily booked on the next available transport space and here she is in the UK on the look out for a new home.
Viktoria is a sweet old girl that’s still fit and well enough to enjoy nice walks. She gets on okay with other dogs but is understandably weary if they approach her when she is lying down. Her ideal home would be as an only dog. She would love a quietish retirement home where she can at last relax and never again feel like she needs to always be looking over her shoulder for the next approach of danger.
