Violet is a medium sized Cross-Breed of approximately three years old. Violet has been with us for some time now and has changed considerably in that time and as such deserves a new write up that reflects the progress she has made. Violet was a street dog in Romania that was not always treated kindly by humans and so arrived last December extremely cautious of us all. Over time she has learnt how to interact with people and has now become confident enough to approach strangers with a wagging tail yet still a slightly weary look in her eye that we hope will also vanish in time.
Violet is a quiet dog around the home but also happy to play with the other dogs when invited to. She has lived with other dogs of all shapes and sizes since being in the UK and has interacted well with all of them. She has lived with cats but, as is often the case, will chase them if she sees them in the garden. Violet travels really well in the car and walks nicely on a lead, she is also very good off lead and has better recall than most of my own dogs I am ashamed to say 😉
Violet is house trained and can be left at home for a few hours alone with no issues at all. Violet does need somebody with a reasonable amount of experience to continue improving her confidence. She loves to run and her walking regime needs to be fairly long and varied if she is to continue to grow in character. Violet has been a pleasure to foster and we would all really love to see her offered a chance in a forever home after all these months, she certainly deserves the very best!
