Whisky is a 2 year old male Terrier Cross. Little Whisky is a very sweet and tranquil boy, he has a very loving, quiet disposition. He obviously once had a home because he knows how to interact with humans and just looks for love and affection. He has a lovely long white coat and he measures from floor to shoulder 34cms, from base of neck to start of tail 43cms.
He weighs 5 kilos so will make a good lap dog. Whisky has no problem with cats, other dogs, or children so he is a good all rounder. Whisky was rescued by a Spanish lady volunteer who never ignores a needy situation. Whisky was on a roundabout in the middle of a busy road and unable to find his way off and across the road. She stopped her car and he immediately came up to her, she took him home and he will remain in foster there until homed.
Whisky is full of fun and enjoys living in his foster home. Whisky has a very low leishmaniasis count of 160. He is being treated now as it is an easy condition to manage and treat. A course of tablets, if needed, will cost £2.50 per month. The laboratory blood testing showed a very low positive result for leishmaniosis (sandfly disease), and now he will take one tablet a day for 12 months as a preventative measure. He will be sent with sufficient tablets to continue this preventative medication. One year after arrival, he will need to have a blood test, which given the low count, we hope should have diminished to no problem. We will blood test him again in February and after these results, he will be able to travel to UK.
