Wilf is a four-year old ex-breeding English Cocker Spaniel who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. Wilf isn’t the stereotypical, nervy ex-breeder that we are used to. He can walk on the lead and is more used to being around humans – so much so that he needs them to be with him for most of the day.
His little heart breaks if he is left for any length of time and he will howl and cry until his people return for him. We love Wilf and everyone who meets him falls for those spaniel eyes of his. The trouble is, he really does make too much noise when left! Yes, Wilf really does need to be rehomed with another dog for company and confidence. Wilf has been unreactive to cats in his foster home so can happily live with them. As previously mentioned, Wilf loves people and is happy to be around gentle, older children. He is still a quiet boy and younger children would be too much for him. Wilf travels well in the car and has no problems.
Wilf does not help and training in this area. He does suffer from separation anxiety and will cry and howl if left at home – even with other dogs for company. We are looking for a quiet home for Wilf, with another dog, where people are around for most of the day. He does also need help with his housetraining as he does still have accidents. A retired household would be great for him as he could have lots of company and enjoy regular walks and playtimes in the garden.
Wilf has been neutered and microchipped, is up to date with his flea and worming treatment and vaccinations. Potential adopters are expected to meet Wilf in his foster home in RCT, South Wales.
If you are interested in adopting Wilf please read about our rehoming process and complete a Pre-Adoption form ( link here ) and one of our adoption coordinators will contact you for a chat.
