Yani – 3 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Yani is a 3 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier girl who was transferred from a pound with the help of another organisation to help give Yani a secure future and a chance of finding a good home. She is currently in kennels in the Cheshire/Staffordshire border while waiting for a new home. Yani originally came to the RSPCA in the South of England as sadly she has been a victim of terrible abuse; she has been stabbed in the head with a knife but her wounds have healed.

People need to know the abuse that’s inflicted on this breed, Staffies are a wonderful breed of dog and do not deserve to be used and abused, the RSPCA is fully supportive of this breed and try to educate the public that Staffies are not the problem, their bad owners are. Yani is fully vaccinated, wormed and flead. She will be micro-chipped and spayed in due course.

Despite what this girl has been through she is really friendly, possibly too friendly (she wants to approach everyone she sees and jump up for a fuss!) but this may be because she feels she has to be please everyone, perhaps so she doesn’t want get hurt again?

She needs to be the only pet, she is not good with other dogs but may tolerate some males and is not good with cats. She’s obviously not had any formal training but loves her treats and will be easy to train. She is good on the lead and travels well, she is clean in the kennel and is good at the vets.

Yani loves people and is very affectionate, she loves cuddles and has a lovely nature. She is living proof that despite the cruelty they experience dogs can still be very trusting of people; she displays a huge amount of courage. She is amazing!

Yani needs an experienced home without children, perhaps you’ve had Staffies before? A home where someone is around, perhaps you work part time, work from home or are retired; a quiet area so she can enjoy nice walks, a nice secure garden to play in and above all someone who will show Yani a life she’s never had before who will love and cherish her.
