Yogi – 3 year old female Greyhound

Yogi is a very shy and currently nervous 3 year old Greyhound girl. This girl is amazing and so very gentle and needs a quiet understanding home who will allow her to settle in her own time. She is so pretty and already after just 24 hours here in Gapland is starting to adapt. She looks to us humans for all the cues that everything is okay and someone is going to get a wonderful little dog. Yogi has today been doubled up with Hunter and this has already given her the lift she needs. I hasten a guess that in a home with an already established male greyhound this little girl will settle down and flourish very quickly. She walks like a dream on lead and is clean when let out of her kennel to toilet and travels well but is a little worried. With lots of short journeys this will soon settle.

If Yogi were to go as an only dog I feel any new home would need someone around, she may be at risk of separation anxiety once settled if not settled right without the company of other dogs. Yogi would prefer a home with children 10 plus a overly noisy environment would upset her hugely and that is not what she needs. Yogi is NOT cat friendly.

Yogi is vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped and will be spayed and receive a dental before rehoming. She is currently in Stoke on Trent and any new family must be willing to travel with any current resident dogs to meet her. Yogi will also be rehomed with 1 months free insurance.

Greyhound Gap
Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out. If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so: http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/our-dogs/pre-adoption-questionnaire
