Zorro is an 8 to 9 year old medium sized Cross-Breed. Zorro is fostered in Gt Yarmouth (FR001). This sad, yet amiable, old chap has come to us from the Radauti public shelter in Romania. Poor old boy is skinny and was so worm ridden he wasn’t going to gain weight no matter how much he was fed. Zorro wears the same resigned expression on his face that most of the oldies arrive wearing. He’s never had anything good happen to him in his life and he’s not going to start expecting anything good now.
Little by little, day by day, as the fresh and pleasant experiences are shown to him he becomes lighter hearted and the dead inside expression changes to one of hope and expectation. Maybe, just maybe, this new life of love, warmth and luxury is for keeps.
So we need someone to come along and take over showing this unassuming dog the good things in life. He already feels better in himself and is loving the regular meals and lovely walks. He still doesn’t presume anybody will want to fuss him but when they do he loves it and is hugely grateful for any attention that is gifted his way. My dream for Zorro is that one day he will see himself as worthy of love, his days of being shunned and ignored are over and he will be loved in his own right for however long he has left.
Zorro mixes very well with all other dogs and people of all ages. He is a friendly and calm and quiet and a pleasure to have around.
