Alba – 1-2 year old female Cross-Breed

Alba is a 1-2 year old female Cross-Breed. She is a large sized Labrador type dog from Romania. She is over 35kgs and approximately 18 months old. She is very gentle and passive and prefers a quiet household, so older children or an adult only home please.

Alba needs a quiet understanding home with previous experience in dog anxiety and stress. This is not a major issue that stops Alba doing anything, but she runs away in fear at sudden noises or movements etc. and at times can wet herself in fear!

She had her ears cropped when she was a pup, so we are not sure what other abuse she suffered. She was found in the forest, abandoned and waiting to die. We really hope she can get her second chance once more.

Alba has no aggressive tendencies at all with food or toys. She hasn’t learned to play properly and can be a bit big pawed with a smaller resident dog but one of a similar size would be fine. No cats please.

She can pull on a lead so someone who is experienced with big dogs to help train her would be good. She has a high prey drive and can get distracted easily with squirrels running up trees etc she has no recall at the moment.

Alba has been in the UK (Wales) 4 months and unfortunately her adoption hasn’t worked out!

Please, only those with experience of Labradors (or large breeds) will be considered and you must have a quiet home for her. She needs a garden which is enclosed with 6 ft fencing to keep her safe. She is fully vaccinated, chipped, blood tested and, neutered with EU passport and much love to give!

All of our dogs come from Romania and have spent time with our Romanian rescuer either in their home or in suitable kennels until adopted. As we are a small rescue we have only a few dogs in foster in the UK, most are direct adoptions from Romania to the UK.

We offer support throughout the whole process as well as after the dog has arrived which is the most important time of all.

We do not adopt to families with resident children under the age of 7yrs. and try where possible to cat test out dogs. Please note, all our dogs have comprehensive blood works as well as being fully vaccinated/microchipped and registered to the new owner.

We also neutered/spayed responsibly and provide full post adoption support. Home check/application form apply as well as telephone/video call.
