Meet Albert, a lovely 3 year old male Greyhound looking for his forever home after being retired from racing. Albert is a great all-rounder and is super affectionate and loves cuddles and being sung to!
As he is fine with other dogs when out and about, Albert could live with another calm female dog (pending introductions) and would need direct ground access to a garden as he isn’t used to stairs.
Albert could live with children aged 10+. No cats please.
Contrary to popular belief, Greyhounds like Albert can often be couch potatoes and need only one hour’s exercise a day. They like nothing more than to cosy up on a comfy bed and snooze in a warm home.
If you welcome an ex-racer into your home, remember that they will have spent most of their life in kennels and will need time and gentle encouragement to get used to the home environment. You will also need to take care when out with your new dog as smaller dogs and other animals may remind them of their hunting instincts.
If you would like to adopt Albert please fill out a rehoming questionnaire and a member of the team will get in contact within 48 hours.
