Alfie is a 14-year-old male Bichon Frise who came into the Oldies Club rescue as his owner was poorly. Alfie is in a foster home in a village near Northampton, waiting for someone to offer him a permanent home. He can be rehomed within a 2-hour drive of his foster home.
Alfie would be ideally suited to an adult only home where there is someone around all of the time. He is good when visiting people. He has accompanied his fosterer when visiting an elderly gentleman and he has been fine there and made himself at home.
Alfie isn’t used to being left on his own for more than an hour or two, so needs a home with people around most of the time. His foster carers haven’t needed to leave him and if they do go out Alfie goes with them.
Alfie has never lived with dogs but he is fine with dogs he meets when out walking. Alfie chases neighbours’ cats out of the garden and barks at them. He can be a fast little mover. Alfie has never lived with children but he should be OK to be around kind teenagers.
Alfie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has been wormed and flea treated. He has IBD so needs a hypoallergenic diet. He has 3 small meals a day of Pets at Home AVA hypoallergenic small kibble mature with the addition of a scrambled egg at breakfast, and with the addition of some rice and chicken or white fish at dinner. He has been prescribed Loxicom anti-inflammatory.
