Alma is a 3 year old female German Wire-Haired Pointer. This lovely girl appeared on the streets in central Spain with a hole in her neck where they’d cut her microchip out. A kind rescuer took her on and is paying for her to be in kennels. She is with other dogs, male and female and gets on well with all, she’s also great with people, not yet tested with kids but we’re sure she’ll be fine since she’s so good-natured. She hasn’t been tested with cats.
At the moment she’s relatively calm but that an always change. She has tested low positive to Leishmaniosis, she’s going to have one month’s treatment to put her into remission, a blood test showed that the disease hasn’t affected her and it’s been caught very quickly.
An adopter in the UK will need to do 6-monthly tests initially and then annual ones just to keep an eye on her antibody levels.
