Amy is a 5.5 month old female Collie cross who was found in rural Hungary with 5 of her siblings last November. 4 girls are still looking for their forever homes. They are suspected to be border collie crosses but their parents are unknown. They are expected to become a collie size when fully grown. Current size: 40 cm shoulder height and 9 kg weight.
Amy is a sweet and beautiful puppy, active and bouncy who loves running around and playing with her doggie mates. She is friendly and enthusiastic with loads of energy. She is highly intelligent and a quick learner. She is well socialised with dogs as she currently lives in an animal shelter with several other dogs. She currently spends her days outdoors hence she will need to be house trained in her new home. She is not taken on walks currently so she will need to be trained to walk on and off the lead. Her new family will need to be aware of all the pleasure and pain of adopting a puppy and will need to continue her socialisation and training for her to become a happy and well behaved adult dog.
Amy would be best suited with a family without or with children over 14 where she is not left alone for long periods of time and there’s time for her training. She would best fit into an active family who take her on regular walks and fulfil her exercise needs, hopefully taking her to puppy classes. She is bright and energetic therefore she would probably excel in any doggie sports or she would happily be your jogging partner. She could easily live with a friendly dog to keep her company, but she would be equally happy living with her humans to care for her only.
Amy is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family’s found for her. She comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.
The right owner will need to agree to have her spayed once fully grown.
Adoption is subject to Home Check and Adoption fee.
